If you are obtaining a bank loan, the loan documents require a project manager or an engineer. An engineer is more costly and is only concerned with the building phase(s) of the project(s).

Project Managers Duties:

  • Hiring or assisting in the hiring of an engineer to produce the scope of the work that is required or desired. This scope of work is then utilized in the bidding process with contractors.
  • One of the most important responsibilities of the project manager is to create a viable budget and control it throughout the lifecycle of the project.
  • Gathering of proposals from contractors. Negotiating the bids on cost and organizing bids in an apple-to-apple comparison for the board to make an educated decision.
